Banana Republic: 40% off NO BR Merchandise Exclusions

B.R.: 40% off + extra 10% off for cardholders w/ BRCARD

If you didn’t get one of those Banana Republic F&F codes last week (or, even if you did and want to stock up for fall), then now’s not a bad time to wander on over to Banana Republic’s site. Why? Because even though the deal isn’t quite as good (40% vs 50% off) it’s still open to everything… as long as it’s not 3rd party.

So that means all their new fall gear, rapid movement denim, traveler denim, rapid movement chinos, shoes, and accessories are getting the cut. As long as Banana Republic makes it, it’s 40% off. And if you’re a GAP inc card holder? You can knock an extra 10% off that discounted price with the code BRCARD. Don’t worry, we’ll have a full round up of all the big Labor Day weekend sales coming in tomorrow’s handful, but this one seemed worthy of a full post…

Rapid Movement Jeans in Slim or Straight Fit – $70.80 ($118)

BR Rapid Movement Jeans

A new favorite, especially if you’re thicker south of your waist. Why? Because they still refuse to make traveler denim in a straight fit. Plenty stretchy, plenty comfortable, and the deep dark rinse shade is a bit more jean looking that the Traveler version. Size shown above is a 33×30 in the straight fit (they make slim and skinny too). Full review here. Drops to $63.72 if you’ve got a GAP inc credit card and use the extra 10% off code.

B.R. Slim Dark Rinse Japanese Traveler Jean – $70.80 ($118)

B.R. Slim Dark Rinse Japanese Traveler Jean

Still a favorite for many. After hundreds of reviews on the BR site, these things still have a 4.6 out of 5 star rating. Full review here. Also dips under $64 if you’ve got a Banana or Gap or Old Navy card and use the extra 10% off code.

Italian Wool-Blend Car Coat –  $226.80 ($378)

BR Italian Wool-Blend Car Coat

While it’s far too hot in many locations to even think about fall/winter outerwear, it still might not be a bad time to consider upgrading if you’re in need of a new coat for the cold weather. 80% lightweight Italian wool, 20% nylon. Looks like a rain mac, but instead made for the cold. Nice looking camel color. Also available in charcoal if you’re the more subdued type.

Extra-Fine Italian Merino Cardigan – $59.10 ($98.50)

BR Extra-Fine Italian Merino Cardigan

Big fan of these things. Not as slim as the J. Crew slim cardigans, but not enormous either. And the super-fine Italian wool really is something else.

Rapid Movement Chino in SlimStraight, or Tapered (athletic?) – $58.80 ($98)

BR Rapid Movement Chino

90% cotton, 8% poly, 2% spandex. Tons of colors and fits. Lots of kind reviews for these things.

Slim Blazers in Navy Wool-Linen – $148.80 ($248) or Plaid Italian Cotton – $178.80 ($298)

BR Blazers

Two of BR’s newest sportcoats. Interesting that the navy blazer is a 76% wool, 24% linen blend. Cut in their slim fit, so, if you’re a bit bulky up top, might want to look elsewhere (kinda bummed they don’t have standard fit versions of these.

Slim Traveler Pant – $59.10 ($98.50)

BR Slim Traveler Pant

Usually a BR Pick and excluded from other codes. Rave reviews on these pants. Listed as 99% cotton, 1% elastane, but people are loudly singing the praises of the comfort and flexibility of these things. 5 pocket design. Lots of shades to pick from.

Hadley Brogue Oxford – $94.80 ($158)

BR Hadley Brogue Oxford

Inexpensive brogue bluchers. So… certanily leaning more smart casual than dressed up. And that contrasting welt would look pretty good up against some dark denim. Really liking the burgundy shade.

Slim Performance Stretch Wool Dress Pant – $70.80 ($118)

BR Slim Performance Stretch Wool Dress Pant

98% wool and 2% spandex for added ease of movement. Might be worth checking out as an alternative to LE’s Year’rounders. Also available in a more accommodating to those of us on team thunder thighs “standard” fit.

SLIM Piped Luxe Touch Polo – $29.70 ($49.50)

Banana Republic SLIM Piped Luxe Touch Polo

Got popular in a hurry, so, limited sizes now here at post time. Shown above is actually last year’s tipped polo, but they look pretty close to identical this time around (the placket on the white polo this year is black, not grey). Also, they’re being made in a standard and slim this time too. Just enough retro without going over the top.

Heritage Stripe Merino Wool-Silk Blend Henley – $59.10 ($98.50)

BR Heritage Stripe Merino Wool-Silk Blend Henley

Henley’s are a really good looking staple for a lot of us, and it’s nice to see that more than a few retailers have finally started making them out of something other than squishy cotton. 75% wool / 25% silk here. And it’s merino, so it shouldn’t itch right up against your skin. A terrific looking but still hugely functional base layer for when it starts to cool off.

Heritage Long Trench Coat – $186.80 ($328)

BR Heritage Long Trench Coat

Longer than a lot of mid-thigh coats, but not Bogart mid-shin long. Should hit just at about the knee or thereabouts. Nylon/poly blend.

Italian Wool-Silk Blend Tweed Cardigan – $64.80 ($108)

BR Italian Wool-Silk Blend Tweed Cardigan

Not as simple as the extra fine merino cardigans. More texture here. Tweedy fabric is made up of 50% wool, 28% nylon, 11% silk, 8% viscose rayon, 2% other, and 1% elastane.

Lightweight Blue Blazer in Slim or Standard Fit – $118.80 ($198)

BR Lightweight Blue Blazer

Still gonna bang the drum for these sportcoats. Why? Because the cotton is nice and lightweight, the color is a perfect icy-blue, and they’re great now with light chinos, as well as dark denim once it cools off. Easily one of the best sportcoats Banana Republic has produced in a good long while. Lightly structured and the only thing that’s lined is the sleeves. Even the underarm sweat shields are made of a breathable fabric. Not some cheap looking, rumpled chino sportcoat either. Easy to dress up or down.

Casper Tassel Loafer – $94.80 ($158)

BR Casper Tassel Loafer

I get it. Not everyone likes tassel loafers. (Heck, on I’m the fence about em’ myself.) But, these are a more modern take on your Granddad’s tassel equipped weejuns. Sleeker, with a bit of an elongated vamp. Really like that shade of Italian leather too.

Extra-Fine Italian Merino Stripe Crew – $47.70 ($79.50)

BR Extra-Fine Italian Merino Stripe Crew

A casual but still put together basic. Nautical inspired stripes, extra fine merino wool, and a fair price with the discount.

Italian Wool Twill Peacoat – $178.80 ($298)

BR Italian Wool Twill Peacoat

This… sure looks like they’re going for a direct competitor to J. Crew’s Dock peacoat? Not some chopped thing, but instead a little extra length and some chest high hand warmer pockets. Could be a real winner for under $200, this early before the sleet and snow starts to fly. Fabric makeup is 72% wool, 25% nylon, and 3% other. Always wonder what that “other” is. Anyway, kinda sorta has some Bond looks on a budget here. Real interested in this one.

Leather Chukkas – $106.80 or “Dress” Boots – $112.80 ($178 – $188)

BR Boots

High or low, pick your kicks. That “Norman” leather chukka seems to be pretty classic. Not sure about the higher lace-up “Dress” boot though.

Water-Repellent Mac Jacket – $136.80 ($228)

Water-Repellent Mac Jacket

Something to lean on before you drag out the peacoats and topcoats. Mainly cotton, but with enough nylon in it to keep the rain from soaking in. Liking that olive color option. Not something you see every day, and would look good with dark denim.

This 40% off almost everything (just 3rd party is getting excluded this time) promotion runs through Tuesday 9/5, and remember, if you’re a card member you can knock an extra 10% off on top of that 40% off with the code BRCARD.

Italian aristocracy: Black and white

Last summer, a reader responded to a post by reminding me that in Slim Aarons’s photography of Italian aristocracy, most wore cream or tobacco-linen suits, a white shirt, white hank and black knitted-silk tie.

The post had been on ‘Dressing pale colours for summer’, and recommended that readers eschew strong colour in summer tailoring and match it with muted shirt/tie combinations.

The dress of Italy’s traditional elite in Aarons’s photography was even simpler, if anything. But also a lot starker.

They have no discernible pattern in suit, shirt or tie. Accessories too, are simple.

But the white shirt and black tie makes for high contrast, particularly against tobacco and cream.

It is this high contrast which makes such an outfit difficult to wear for most people. Skin that is even moderately fair (as mine is most of the year) cannot cope.

I apologise, by the way, to readers that point out I don’t cover the interaction between skin tone and clothing very much. It’s a complicated area, and one whose importance I think is often exaggerated.

But high-contrast outfits such as this are a good example of its importance. And just as much, of light.

The outfit I am wearing here – the same as those Italian aristos, with tobacco linen, white shirt and black tie – would be too strong in contrast for me until I have a tan in the summer (I tan quite easily).

And it would be too strong on any but the highest of high-summer days in England. The sun is simply not bright enough.

Here, I am wearing it in Naples. On a scorching day, with deep, sharp shadows.

It fits the environment, as well as me, and that is just as important in your clothing as whether it fits the company and the event.

The suit is my wonderful bespoke linen from Dege & Skinner – linked to below. And the hat the sisol straw from Anderson & Sheppard that I seemed to take everywhere with me this summer.

The stairs, by the way, lead up to Marco Cerrato’s atelier.

Clothing:

  • Suit: Bespoke from Dege & Skinner, in 11-ounce W Bill linen. Full review here
  • Shirt: Bespoke from D’Avino, in white linen
  • Tie: Black large-knot grenadine, made to order at 9cm width, from Drake’s
  • Hat: Anderson & Sheppard haberdashery, in sisol straw
  • Shoes: Bespoke from Gaziano & Girling, mid-brown adelaide with painted patina
  • Folio: Leather envelope from British craft market (not great quality, which is why I have never mentioned it, though I do like the design)

Steal Alert: Allen Edmonds Liverpool Chelseas more than $130 off

Allen Edmonds Liverpool Chelseas – $311.50 w/ FALL17 ($445)

I know, I know. Three hundred bucks ain’t cheap. But I can’t honestly recall the last time the Liverpool from Allen Edmonds went on sale. Heck, even Factory 2nds usually kick about around the $300 mark when they aren’t running some big event. But a big event is what Club Monaco is running right now, and as is (thankfully) usually the case, 3rd party goods are also getting the cut.

Allen Edmonds Liverpool Chelseas

It’s a tiered deal. The code FALL17 will knock 20% off $200+, 25% off $300+, and 30% off $400+. And the Liverpool, with it’s super-premium calfskin, awesome silhouette, and grippy but still slim v-tread sole regularly clocks in at $445. So, it’s up for the highest discount.

Again, it’s spendy for a pair of shoes, but if you like Chelseas, then my goodness you’re almost certainly gonna love these things. They really swung for the fences here, and hit a home run. This walnut shade of leather feels even softer and more flexible than AE’s normal walnut stuff. Full, detailed review is here.

That’s it. Apologies for the 2nd “Steal Alert” in one day. Carry on.

Steal Alert: Seiko SKX Dive Watches at Massdrop

Seiko SKX Automatic Diver – $169.99 FINAL ($200ish)

The Seiko SKX dive collection is legendary, and for good reason. 200m in water resistance, classic diver looks, 42mm case (on most models) with that sweet offset crown, a robust and dependable automatic movement, and they’re built like a tank. They’re the perfect sport/casual watch, and at $200 most already consider them a deal.

So, saving $30 seems like cheating.

Seiko SKX Automatic Diver

More than a couple models to pick from.

But it’s Massdrop, so as always there’s a catch. You’ll have to wait until late September for the things to ship. Also, since it’s a pre-order, it’s final sale. So no returns.

All models except for one is the standard 42mm in diameter case. Select the SKX013 at checkout if you want the 37mm diameter option.

Seiko SKX Automatic Diver

Heads up: the bracelet kinda stinks, if you go in that direction.

One quick warning: The stainless steel band option might disappoint some. I, personally, think the bracelet on that one is one of the worst I’ve ever felt. Rickety and cheap feeling. It doesn’t do the actual timepiece justice. You’ll almost certainly swap it out for a NATO or a rubber strap, so, might want to pick a rubber strap to start with.

But hey, $30 is $30. Not a bad savings on a watch that usually goes for $200, and punches far above its weight.

That’s all. Carry on.

In Review & In Person: Some of Target’s New Goodfellow & Co. Brand

Target’s New Men’s Brand: Goodfellow & Co.

To say that there’s some excitement out there for Target’s new Goodfellow & Co. brand would be an understatement. It’s wheelhouse Dappered stuff, and there have been a flood of tips coming in over the past couple of weeks as Target slowly rolled it out to some of their brick and mortar stores. Now? It’s there. Online and ready for purchase (it went live on Sunday). Yet not everything seems to have made its way to all brick and mortar stores yet. But… here’s what we seem to know so far.

  • There are some hits, there are some misses.
  • The shoes, overall, aren’t worth it. (Lots of man-made materials and cheap looking. You’re better off with a pair of Deacons from JCP or Stan Smiths from Adidas.)
  • Sizing might be an issue for some. According to Adam H., “the disparity between sizes was quite noticeable. The small medium >>> large transition was more like an XS >>> large >>> XXL with other brands.” I found this to be somewhat true too.
  • It might be a bit until some of the more tempting items (like the chunky sweaters and thicker coats) make it to some brick and mortar stores. This stuff is tough to get your hands on.

That said, it’s still a new option from an easily accessible retailer who’s attempting to step their style game up. It’s early, and it’s far from everything, but here’s what we (both us here at Dappered HQ and some of you out there in reader-land) have gotten our hands on… so far.

Whittier Oxford Standard Fit Button Down Shirt – $24.99

Whittier Oxford Standard Fit Button Down Shirt

Size shown above is a medium. Thinner and lighter weight than UNIQLO. If it wasn’t for a little bit of texture, one might easily mistake it for a poplin. 100% cotton and made in Cambodia. Size shown above is a medium. Could easily become a new favorite basic for plenty of fellas (as long as you aren’t looking for a thicker oxford cloth). Five colors to pick from. Looks much better tucked in/under a sportcoat or sweater. A little long and bulky to perhaps wear untucked. Weren’t they gonna make a slim fit version of their shirts too? Not seeing those available yet? (Note: Jeans above are Levis. Belt is from GAP. My local Target was still slinging Mossimo denim.)

Standard Fit Corduroy Shirt – $24.99

Standard Fit Corduroy Shirt

Size shown above is a medium. Surprisingly soft and lightweight. Not some stiff, heavy thing. 4 colors to pick from. No buttons to the collar and no collar stay slots, so, super casual for sure. But, that’s what cord shirts almost always are. A sleeper of a win for Target and this brand. Certainly feels more fitted than the oxfords.

Standard Fit Deconstructed Knit Blazer – $49.99

Standard Fit Deconstructed Knit Blazer

Size shown above is a medium, and I’m feeling more than a bit squeezed here. 58% cotton / 42% polyester. Not lightweight. Some will consider it leaning towards the heavier side (although it’s not super thick or tweedy). Center vent in the rear. Poly/cotton butterfly-style partial back lining with poly lined sleeves. Sleeve cuff buttons, unfortunately, are functional.

Standard Fit Deconstructed Chino Blazer – $39.99

Standard Fit Deconstructed Chino Blazer

Size shown here is a LARGE. Why? I wanted to see the difference between a medium and a large, and Adam H’s assessment (see intro at top of post) about the wider than normal gaps between sizes seems to be accurate. My 5’10” / 185-190 frame is swimming in this one. Apparently, I’m neither a medium nor a large in Target’s new Goodfellow brand when it comes to jackets. I’d be a… Marge? Ah well. 97% cotton, 3% spandex, with a cotton butterfly back lining and poly lined sleeves. Lighter in weight than many other chino blazers. Sadly, the sleeve cuff buttons here are also functional, so, tailoring will be a pain if you need the sleeve length worked on. Center vent in the rear. Also available in navy.

Slim Fit Trousers – $29.99

Slim Fit Trousers

Size shown is a 34×30 since that’s the closest size they had in-store to the 32×30 or 33×30 that I normally wear,. I’m super glad I went for the 34. These are, in fact, slim. Below the knee it felt like I was wearing an extra pair of socks. They’re that tight. Stylistically, they’re a bit of an odd duck here. These are NOT their new chinos, but instead, a slightly more dressy style of pant. Hook and bar closure above the zipper fly. 77% cotton, 22% poly, 1% spandex. Micro-herringbone pattern. Medium to thicker in weight. Available in grey (shown) or navy.

Slim Straight Fit Selvedge Rigid Jeans – $39.99

Slim Straight Fit Selvedge Rigid Jeans

Big thanks to Jim K. for the pics and thoughts here. Didn’t see these in my local Target, but here’s what he thought about the selvedge denim: Real 14oz selvedge. Slighty starchy and material feels a bit thin. Exposed selvedge detail on the coin pocket. Nice buttons (sometimes cheap selvedge or just cheap jeans in general can have crummy buttons). Made in Bangledesh.

Herringbone Plaid Shirt Jacket – $34.99Military Long Sleeve Shirt – $24.99

Target's Goodfellow & Co.

Another couple of shots from Jim K. Here’s what he had to say: “On the left is a 100% cotton shirt jacket with an almost denim like feel to the fabric. Side hand pockets are a nice touch. Made to be layered over lighter layers for sure. The one on the right is somewhere between a shirt and a jacket, to me, even though they call it a “military shirt.” 100% cotton twill and only slightly different than a $150 option I tried on from J. Crew’s Wallace & Barnes line. A really solid layering piece.”

Standard Fit Knit Trouser Pants – $24.99

Goodfellow & Co. Standard Fit Knit Trouser Pants

**BEST IN SHOW??** Big thanks to Ryan N. for the pics and thoughts on these. Like the jeans, my local Target didn’t have these out yet. But some of you are gonna be stoked about this particular pair of pants: “My favorite thing that I saw was this pair of dark grey “athletic” slacks, much like Betabrand, but only $25! I can’t wait to pick up a pair for being comfy at work while looking professional! Pics don’t do these justice, so cool.”

Quilted Vest – $24.99 | Sweater Fleece Vest – $24.99

Goodfellow & Co.

Another thank you to another reader. This time it’s Tony G., who says: “The vests look pretty nice and should fit very well. Doesn’t seem to be much filling though, so not sure how much warmth you’d get out of these things.”

Expect more in-person looks at Goodfellow & Co. stuff as the season rolls on and we get our hands on additional items. Want more? Head on over to Threads, where the guys have been posting pics and thoughts. Big thanks to BillN for the terrific work he did there, and, more importantly fingers are crossed that he’s staying safe in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. Thoughts on any of the items above, and/or if you have info on other Goodfellow & Co. duds? Send those tips into joe@dappered.com.

Here’s on of the latest questions posted on this long running thread by sagehen5: “Can anyone talk me out of buying the J. Crew “harbor blue” suit while it’s on sale? I’m really drawn to this color but can’t think of a lot of situations where I’d wear it. I have other staple suits, so I guess the real question is: is this suit versatile enough to be worth splurging on or is it only really wearable in a very small number of situations?” Token ‘s response: “The color looks really nice in photos. It’s still fairly versatile to me, I don’t see why you couldn’t wear it as a year round suit outside of very formal occasions.” As simple as that. A Better Day Pack

A better day pack

idvsego is on the hunt for a better day pack. He and his family like to go on day hikes, but ends up being the one that packs everything needed, and is in the market for a more comfortable pack than the ultra affordable option he picked up at Walmart, especially before his planned trip to Zion and the Grand Canyon in 2018. User amg1016 gave some good advice on Osprey Exos packs. thedrake has an older version of REI’s Traverse pack that he likes, and Angus M is a fan of Deuter’s support system. Do you have a favorite pack to recommend to idvesgo? If so, head on over to the thread.

What’s Your Housing Situation?

What's your housing situation?

It’s a curious thing, getting to know people over the internet, and having barely a clue about their lives outside of the online world. DocDave got curious about how other Threads readers lived, so posed the question about their housing situations. Rawfull is on the hunt for a place to buy in coastal Massachusetts, and is facing heartbreak over prices. A few years back LesserBlackDog purchased the condo shown in the picture above, with the amenity of underground heated parking which made more than a couple threads users jealous. This thread also spurred a conversation between hockeysc23 and JBarwick, with the later presenting a formula to figure out if the townhouse hockeysc23 purchased right out of college is worth holding onto as a rental, or better off selling. You never know what type of advice you’ll stumble across on Threads.

Goodfellow & Co

Goodfellow & Co.

Of course the highly anticipated Goodfellow & Co. brand that just launched at Target has inspired a thread, and the opinions are rolling in (stay tuned for our in-person takes tomorrow.) Drum roll, please? The majority of Threads users seem to like what they’ve come across so far. User phatte got the ball rolling, stating that he was encourage by what he’s seen (and he purchased a hoodie and shirt jacket). Batkins9 was impressed by the henley, especially for the $15 price-point. Several members have yet to actually find what seems to be an in-demand item, the shawl pocket cardigan. BillN gave the most extensive review thus far, provided several dressing room photos of what he tried on. On a side note, BillN was at his local Target to pick up batteries before hurricane Harvey made landfall when he shot all those photos. Our thoughts are with BillN, Eric H., and any other guys and their families that are having to deal with the devastation caused by the flooding in Texas. If you’re so inclined, perhaps put off buying that henley until your next paycheck, and donate $15 to an organization providing relief.

Head on over to Threads and take a spin around.

Style Scenario: Vacation to the Northeastern Seaboard

What are you going to wear? Sometimes it’s good to look at a few suggestions then add your own tweaks and ideas. That’s what these are for. Over the next several weeks we’ll be tackling some vacation based Style Scenarios, whether that vacation takes you out to the beach, into the mountains, or cruising the desert. Travel season is upon us, so we’re making some suggestions on how to spend some down time feeling comfortable while also looking good. Next trip on our list is to the Northeastern Seaboard during the fall, calling in cooler days and nights, with the possibility of a rainstorm or two. (top photo credit)

Style Scenario: Vacation to the Northeastern Seaboard | Dappered.com

The Sweater: J. CrewCotton-Cashmere Shawl-Collar Sweater – $78. The key to vacationing comfortably along the Northeastern seaboard in the fall is going to be layers. This cotton/cashmere blend sweater is light enough to not be stifling when the sun is out, and thin enough to wear under a coat or jacket if the weather cools off.

The Watch: Timex Waterbury w/ Gray Dial – $79.99 From their retro-leaning Waterbury Collection. The gray face with orange indices is a nice tribute to the colors of the upcoming season.

The Belt: J. Crew Braided Web Belt – $29.99 ($40). A little color, a little stretch. Lots of comfort.

The Shirt: Old Navy Soft-Washed V-Neck Tee – $14.99. Use this soft tee as your first layer. It’ll add a pop of color under the darker items in the outfit, and it will also be comfortable enough on it’s own during warmer parts of the day.

The Pants: Lands’ End Men’s Regular Fit 14-wale Corduroy Pants in Soapstone – $24.99 ($59)Corduroy is a classic fall fabric, and is soft to the touch, mirroring the texture and comfort of the sweater. Available in a variety of colors, but navy or grey will be most versatile.

The Jacket: VEDONEIRE Mens Motorbike Style Wax Jacket – $169.99The waxed cotton will keep your under layers dry when the rain kicks up, and the contrasting seam tape and brushed cotton liner will keep you warm and add a touch of color and contrast to break up the darker palette of the rest of the outfit.

The Shoes: 1901 Barrett Chukka Boot – $125. A favorite around here. Classic, stylish, and easy to dress up or down. We’ve got the brown leather version featured in the graphic, but you can find a full review of the suede option here.

The Umbrella: Totes Auto Wood Stick Umbrella – $17. A total classic. Moving in to the fall in the Northeast, you’ll want an umbrella handy for those sudden rainy days.

Monday Sales Tripod – Goodfellow & Co is here, CH extra 40% off Sale, & More

The Thursday Handfuls are great, but what if Monday (or Tuesday) rolls around and there are a few sales that can’t wait til the weekend? You’ll find three of the best, with a few picks from each, to start the week below.

Editor’s Note: I know Dappered can be a welcome distraction for you guys. But we’ve got more than a few readers, and one hugely liked contributor, dealing with the mess that is the flooding from Harvey right now. Before you click “buy” on something below, maybe consider sending a quick ten bucks the way of the Red Cross. They’re real people, doing real good, and they could use an extra bit of cash right now. You can visit , call 1-800-RED CROSS or, and this is probably easiest for you younger people, text HARVEY to 90999 to make a $10 donation. If everyone gives just a little bit, we can make a real difference. Incredible respect to all the first responders, as well as the good Samaritans helping out.

#1. Target: Goodfellow & Co. has launched

Goodfellow & Co.

Y’know that cliche about how the truth is usually somewhere in between the most passionate sides in any debate? Right. That seems to be the case with Goodfellow & Co. I’ve got emails that range from “it’s all awesome” to “it’s all crap.” And the quick, from the hip assessment is that some of it is mighty fine, and some of it is a solid, confident pass. In-person shots and descriptions are in the works. But, some of the better, safer items worth considering are above. Seems like not all brick and mortars have the complete collection? I mean, it’s here. But it’s not. Just depends on where you live and who got what. Again, stand by for some in-person fit shots and details.

#2. Cole Haan: Extra 40% off Sale Items w/ SAVE

Cole Haan

Not bad. Especially if you’re hitting some of their higher, upgraded line stuff (not the basic entry level department store stuff). An extra 40% off Cole Haan sale items, to most, would land their stuff into the deal category. Just watch out for final sale stuff, as is always the case.

#3. GAP: 40% off NO EXCLUSIONS w/ STOCKUP

GAP

No exclusions? Nice. And with free shipping kicking in at $50 PRE code, then there’s some serious savings to be had. Their terrific basic leather belts (not too thick, not too thin, just right for smart casual) are a basic that many of us lean on plenty. Usually they’re excluded. Not this time.

Also worth a mention on a Monday
